Ranting because I can.

   The 'OCCUPY' movements seem to be heating up, starting with 'Occupy Wall Street' and growing from there around the world . Of course, if you think about it, we probably have the 'Arab Spring', Wikileaks, the Anonymous movement, the unease in the European Union and the riots in London earlier this year to thank for it as well.
  Feelings of dissatisfaction have been growing, the world is no longer a small place, everything is inter-related, perhaps more than many of us are comfortable with.
  Like it or not, things are changing and if we do not get a handle on it, we could find it spiraling away from us to become an even more unpleasant place than it currently is.
   But I digress...
  The 'OCCUPY' movements are drawing attention and criticism more and more as they grow, people are disillusioned with the status quo, we in the Untied States are doubting our 'Democracy' (How many of you actually recall that 'murica is  not supposed to be a Democracy?    http://thisnation.com/question/011.html ) and it's corporate masters.
  We make money, which isn't a bad thing, that is unless it is the means and the end.  We take money and use it to make more money, we use that money to buy political influence so we can do what? Make even more money...Sure, there are exceptions, but they seem to be becoming few and far between...I'm ranting now, drifting further from my point, as I am wont to do.
  The question is, can all of this brouhahaha with 'OCCUPY' bring about real change, are we too far down the path to pull back from the abyss with some protests, I don't know. I kind of hope we can fix it, but do enough of us want it fixed? Remember : "...Governments are instituted among men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, that whenever any form of government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the right of the people to alter or abolish it, and to institute new government, laying it's foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their safety and happiness. I wonder if I can end up on some government watch list, that would be fun, wouldn't it?
 Anyway, I apologize again for the disjointed nature of my thoughts, but hells, I have no idea what to blog about, so whatever comes to mind is what you will see.
